First Light Gallery is expanding, creating a new vibe in the Butcherblock building it occupies; with a formal gallery space and Louisville’s first fine art photography boutique. The gallery is proud to be showcasing more works of fine art photography and involving more local, regional, and global fine art photographers.
Please come join us in support of the arts, artists, and celebrate First Light Gallery’s Grand Reopening, aligned with Republic Bank First Friday Hop on April 6, from 5-9pm.
First Light Gallery – Grand Reopening Reception
When: Friday April 6, 2018 5-9pm
Where: First Light Gallery
1009 East Main Street Louisville, KY 40206
As many now know, First Light Gallery and Paul Paletti Gallery are the only two galleries in Louisville to exclusively showcase the medium of photography. First Light Gallery believes in the printed image as the foremost way to view photography, and wishes to further engage and educate our community about it’s many involved processes.
We are thrilled about some big changes being made. While expanding the gallery space further into the building to showcase more photographic works from more artists, we’re setting up Louisville’s first photography boutique. Along with our formal gallery space in front, that will still host compelling featured exhibits, the boutique will house an extensive collection of photography that appeals to all tastes.
The aim of the boutique is not only to involve more talented artist, many of which are Louisville’s own, but to make original, photographic works of art more accessible and collectible.
