110 Years of Improving Lives Through Art!
A car-trunk art show, music by Ben Sollee, and Squallis puppets will provide fun for all at LVA’s Homecoming for art education alumni.
Save the date and tell your friends! October 20th is the first Homecoming for LVA’s education programs in their 94-year history. Free, family friendly, and open to all!
Many Louisvillians have benefited from our art education offerings without tying them to LVA. We want all those folks to reconnect with us on October 20th. If you believe that you or someone you know participated in Children’s Fine Art Classes, please visit/share the following link, where those unsure of their alumni status can discover more: louisvillevisualart.org/education
Starting in 1925 with “Children’s Free Art Classes” (CFAC), LVA has provided exceptional quality art instruction to students of all ages throughout the Louisville Metro Area for more than nine decades. In celebration of our 110th Anniversary, the first-ever Homecoming for Alumni of LVA Education programs will feature a car-trunk art show in the parking lot of our Creative Hub (1538 Lytle Street), music by the incomparable Ben Sollee, Squallis Puppeteers, food trucks, and fun ways for everyone to share their LVA stories.
Accomplished CFAC alumni Ed Hamilton, Gordon Brown, and LaNia Roberts will address the gathering.
LVA invites all former students and teachers in art education programs of LVA, the Louisville Visual Art Association, the Watertower Art Association, or the Louisville School of Art to join us for this special event.
