Home Furnishings & Decor store on the Butcherblock. A modern and carefully collected eclectic mix of pieces for the home that boasts a price point intended to please the wallet without sacrificing style.
Stag + Doe is an absolutely beautiful space with a wonderful modern selection. You won’t find a more helpful staff or more reasonable prices for the quality anywhere. Stag + Doe focuses on modern design at reasonable prices, “Louisville has great furniture stores, but they don’t work for everyone’s budget,” said McAfee in an interview with Bizjournals, “We wanted to expand the offering for modern furniture and décor while being mindful of the price point.”
Stag + Doe is the work of interior designers Julie Meehan and Jeff McAfee, who co-own interior design firm Studio Threesixty. The store, at 1013 E. Main St. in a restored shotgun house, has a range of modern styles for the home and unique gift items. The showroom is a hand curated and arranged masterpiece of economy of space. On any visit you’ll see a smattering of useful items chairs, bowls, blankets, charcuterie boards, beautiful light fixtures (that double as a works of art), all manner of assorted knick-knacks, and things you never knew you couldn’t live without. Every item is expertly curated with an eye toward clean and contemporary, with a taste of frugality. Miraculously, this space is filled to the brim with things you can probably afford to fall in love with — and that is exactly the heart of Stag + Doe. The vases range from $15 to $30. The hanging lights were around $30, too. A beautiful set of coasters were under $20. A copper wire basket was around $20. Be still my shopping heart! This is retail therapy heaven.
