In the early 1990’s the concept of Stevie Ray’s was born by two visionary Louisville businessmen, Fred Wooten and Michael Pollard. The building was originally constructed in 1906 and with the interior brick walls, was the perfect fit to exude the feel of an old time blues club.
Stevie Ray’s is locally owned and operated. It’s a welcoming place with great drinks at reasonable prices. The kind of place both locals and tourists can sit down and feel right at home. Live music is top notch and the service is fast and attentive. They are well know for their great back patio area where you can sit back with a drink, enjoy the music and have a conversation too. The atmosphere manages to be both cozy for visiting on your own but also open and colorful with plenty of room for large groups too. Bands start early for the after diner crowd around 6:30 and go on in to the wee hours for those who like to keep the fun going.
