2020 has been a challenging year, and many institutions—the Cressman Center included—have had to pivot for the safety of our communities. As a result, we have changed the format of this year’s Open Studio Weekend Exhibition. We have elected to showcase work from years past Open Studio Weekend Artists. The University of Louisville Hite Art Institute in partnership with Louisville Visual Art is therefore organizing a “Best of Open Studio Weekend” exhibition juried by LVA’s new director, Kristian Anderson.
*Due to public health concerns related to COVID-19, Open Studio Weekend tours are being rescheduled for a later date. Please check back for more information on Open Studio Weekend. For any questions concerning the postponement or for those who have already purchased the Studio Guide and Directory please contact amy@louisvillevisualart.org
We appreciate your understanding.

From a creative hub in the Portland neighborhood, LVA celebrates, employs, and encourages artists through Artebella profiles, the MAP (Mural Art Program), Open Studio Weekend, weekly calls for submissions, and more. LVA shapes the next generation of creative leaders through Children’s Fine Art Classes and Open Doors outreach that bring quality art instruction to more than 2,000 students each year. LVA aims to engage, inspire, and improve our region through art.
